Government Incentives Available
The government’s renewable energy plan provides incentives for going solar. You receive an upfront discount on your solar panels from us. The incentive is proportional to the size of your solar system and decreases each year – so get in quick to save more!
Save 50-80% on Electricity Costs
By consuming solar energy in your home, you reduce the amount of electricity you consume from the grid. When your solar panels generate more energy than you are currently consuming in your home, your excess solar energy is sold back to the grid and earns you credit with your energy retailer.
Frequently asked questions
Yes we do! Batteries are decreasing in cost and becoming more economical. All our systems are capable of having a battery installed in the future.
Yes there is! The government incentive is proportional to your system size – more panels means a bigger incentive. You receive an upfront discount from us on your system. We then claim the incentive, so there’s nothing you need to do. The incentive decreases each year so the sooner you go solar the bigger the incentive you’ll receive.
The cost for a solar system can vary quite a lot. It will depend on what size system you need and your choice of products. The best way to know for sure is to get a free inspection and quote from us.
Your savings will depend on the size of the system you install and your current energy rates. We do in depth calculations for you as part of our free technical inspection and quote. Most of our customers have a payback period of 3-5 years on their system.
Yes we do! This means no upfront cost for you – go solar for $0. Through our finance partner, you can choose a payment plan that suits your budget. In most cases, the system will pay for itself – your bill will go down more than the repayments meaning you have more money as soon as your system is installed.
We size your system based on your available roof space, your average daily consumption (you can find this on your bill) and your budget. We put together a design for you as part of our free technical inspection and quote.
Any excess solar energy is fed back into the grid. Your energy retailer will pay you for this energy – this is called a feed-in tariff. The credit will appear on your electricity bill. We can help you choose the best energy provider to maximise your savings – ask about our Bill Buster service.
There are four warranties that apply to your system: the panel warranty, the inverter warranty, the structural installation warranty covering the mounting equipment used and finally the workmanship warranty provided by Banana Solar. The warranties you receive will depend on the products you choose.
We place the panels on your roof in the location that will produce the most energy for you. This is any north facing roof followed by east and west facing roof faces. The inverter is most often installed next to or nearby your meter box. We can tailor the panel and inverter location to suit your needs.
